Undated but circa 1890. xx, 300pp, monochrome engraved frontispiece and further full page engraved illustrations. Full tan leather binding with gilt rules and lettering, five raised bands on spine, with titles on black leather spine label. All edges marbled. Marbled endpapers. 12mo. Leather a little shelf worn, gently rubbed at corners and around a lightly sunned spine. Prize presentation inscription, from Rottingdean School dated 1891, on first blank. Faint and occasional spotting on first and last few leaves else internally neat, clean and tight.
A handsome and pleasingly tactile volume.
