Fourth impression. 108pp, with line drawings by Irene Hawkins. The majority of the drawings have been exquisitely hand-coloured. In pale blue cloth-covered boards with red decorations and titles on spine (boards a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, mildly discoloured on edges). There is a previous owner's name, and a lengthy inscription in pencil, on the front free endpaper, endpapers lightly tanned, else internally neat, clean and bright. The inscription details how the owner lost and found this book - charming. In its original dust jacket (a little chipped at corners, minor loss at spine base and upper edge on reverse, white areas show tanning). Dust jacket now protected in a Brodart-style wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
