In green cloth boards with gilt lettering on front and spine (boards rubbed and rounded at corners and spine tips, a little rubbed on lower edge, white mark and call number on spine). With a presentation bookplate on front paste down, indicating the volume was presented to The American Library in Paris in 1924; and a contemporary review of the book tipped in on the front free endpaper. Library lending sheet on rear free endpaper and other library markings on rear paste down; Library perforated stamp on title page, else internally neat and clean. A remarkable collection of Negro poetry, including some more obscure poets, with pen portraits and brief biographies of the poets represented, published during the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s. A hard to find title.
