First edition. 94pp. Orange cloth-covered boards, illustrated with titles on spine. Two-toned frontispiece with numerous further monochrome illustrations in text. 12mo. Corners lightly rubbed and rounded with a few small stains on the boards and some foxing along the text block edges. Mild foxing on the endpapers, a small pen annotation on the front pastedown endpaper and prize presentation plate, dated 1946, on the front free endpaper else the interior is neat, clean, tight and bright. Dust jacket worn and torn but just about complete, chapped with some loss along the front top edge and corner and spine ends, a long closed tear along the spine and foxing on the interior.
