Volumes are undated but likely late 19th century, rebound in fine grade buckram with leather spine labels and gilt lettering to spine. The Jorrocks edition of Surtee's work. All volumes, top edge gilded. All illustrated by John Leech. Each volume has a colour plate frontis with tissue guard and numerous other engravings - full page and in text. Mr Facey's Hounds is has 8 extra illustrations; Handley Cross, 12; ASk Mamma 8; Plain or Ringlets, 8; and Sporting Tour 8 also. Boards have light rubbing at corners. All internally bright, crisp and clean with robust binding. A truly handsome set 0
