Modern English Silverwork
A new edition. No 258 of an edition limited to 1000 copies. xxiv, 12pp, 100 plates, 15-36pp. In orange-brown cloth-covered boards with gilt motif and gilt titles on spine. Folio. Very slightly rubbed and rounded at spine ends and corners, upper leading corner lightly bumped. Small stain on text block edge, and three leaves of plates very, very slightly indented on upper corner, else very neat, clean and bright throughout. The first edition of this book, entitled Modern English Silverwork by C R Ashbee was printed in an edition of 200 copies on his Essex House Press in the Norman Chapel, Broad Camden, Gloucester in 1909. This second edition, with introductory essays, is made in facsimile of the original. As before, some of the plates have been hand-coloured. A magnificent work.
