A collection of Merryweather and Sons illustrated, descriptive catalogues and brochures, some in two colours, pegged into a cloth-covered binder with gilt lettering stamped front and spine. Folio. The boards are heavily worn, marked, rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, cloth cracked on spine joints, small hole in cloth on front panel. Interior of binding also worn and scuffed. Previous owner's name - C A Ellis - inside front cover. Some wear and damage at page edges but the brochures and catalogues themselves are generally neat, clean, bright and tight. Around 100 different brochures from Merryweather and Sons dating from the mid 1920s to the mid 1930s, featuring a wide range of their fire-fighting products including the All-British Motor Turntable Steel Fire Ladder; Cross Country Hatfield Fire Engine; Greenwich Gem Steam Fire Pump; Fire and Salvage Boats; The Greenwich Salamander; Motor Turbine Fire Engines; Chemical Fire Engines; Fire Hoses and Pumps; Fire Escapes; Fire Alarm, and many, many more. Includes fascinating technical drawings and and articles and illustrations regarding current and potential use.
