[1872] First edition, first printing. 120pp. In decorated cloth binding, engraved frontispiece. 16mo. Boards worn all over, heavily faded, marked, rubbed on corners and joints and fraying at spine ends, cracked across backstrip. Hinges and some gutters cracked and binding loosening. Presentation inscription on front free endpaper, dated 1875. Faint, occasional spotting. Rear board is cracked across and loosening. A nostalgic children's story. We would not usually offer a book in this condition but it is a very hard to find title, and the volume is readable. We offer it in the hopes that it may fill a gap in a collection until and better copy can be sourced and afforded.
