Unpaginated. Original full leather binding with blind stamped decoration and panels, all edges gilt (boards a little worn at edges and joints with a couple of chips on joints and rubbed and rounded at corners, gilding tarnished). Marbled endpapers. Engraved frontispiece of Queen Anne at prayer, kneeling over the book of Common Prayer. Binding a tad strained, some age toning and mild, old water staining to top of first few pages, occasional faint spotting. Chip in paper at base of title page, not affecting text. Previous owner's label in front paste down, previous owner's stamp and inscription, dated 1987, on early blank. The Anglican Book of Common Prayer was first translated into Latin in 1669/70. Large and chunky 16mo. A beautiful item, with a patina of use rather than abuse.
