1960 reprint of 1959 first edition. 256pp. Red cloth boards with black lettering. Colour plate frontispiece and further line drawings in text, all by Mays. (Boards sharp, square, clean and bright with minor rounding at spine ends). Internally neat, clean, crisp and bright, barring a few very mild marks on endpapers. In its original, not price-clipped dust jacket (bumped, creased and nicked at edges, minorly sunned spine, shelf wear visible on verso). Its Christmas term at Linbury Court School, and Jennings takes the lead in the more original entertainments, and the disasters that follow.
