Six panelled folded leaflet describing Harrods Library Service, its terms of service and the subscription rates for 1970 for the various levels of membership available. The leaflet has been stored folded, so has some creasing across the centre and is a little worn; the last panel is partially detached, where there is a crack running halfway along the fold; clean and bright. Approximately 40 by 18.5 cm when fully opened. Together with a Subscription Renewal Form, completed for one M Belmont - a roughly A5 slip, printed on both sides, a little browned, with a particulars of previous subscription pasted onto the lower half. Harrods, the upmarket department store in London's Knightsbridge, ran a subscription library service (together with a second hand book shop) from 1908 until 1989. Rare survivals from a time gone by, and a marker in Harrods' and retail history.
