188pp. Colour plate frontispiece, title page printed in red and black. Bound in green cloth-covered boards with elaborate blind stamped decorations front and spine (boards are strong and square, a little rounded at spine tips and corners and heavily faded along upper edge and around spine). Internally there's a little page toning and a prize presentation plate on the front free endpaper, indicating that the volume was once presented to Marion McDougall by Hamilton Academy in 1923-24.
