Book Club edition. 248pp. In pale blue cloth-covered boards with black lettering on spine (boards gently rounded at corners and spine ends, strip of heavy fading along top edge). Faint, occasional scattered spotting, mild tanning on endpapers only, half title page absent. In its original dust jacket (a little bumped on edges, lightly chipped and fraying at head of spine, some discolouration along upper edges, mild but visible shelf wear on reverse). Firmly bound. A regency novel. Georgette Heyer, an English novelist and short story writer, effectively established the historical romance genre, and its sub-genre of Regency Romances, and has remained popular among readers since the publication of her first novel, The Black Month, in 1921. Although perhaps best known (and collected) for her Regency Romances, which were written with great attention to historical detail, she also wrote thrillers and detective fiction. We have many of her works in stock, and offer generous discounts to those ordering more than one title at a time - please inquire.
