In its original dust jacket, slightly bumped at edges and a little faded around spine. Risley's diaries, of which this is the is the first part covering the years 1835 to 1848, are far from confined to the day-to-day doings of the north Oxfordshire parish of Deddington, where he was the clergyman but do show much of the local history of the area.
