First edition, first printing. 208pp. Signed and inscribed by the author on the title page, To Lawrence Dean, with best wishes, Ronald Chetwynd-Hayes, 15th February 1988". In green cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Cloth gently rounded at spine ends, a little faded on edges. A hint of tanning on pages, else neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket, a little bumped around spine base. Dust jacket now protected in an archival quality Mylar wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. Chetwynd-Hayes takes the reader where Bram Stoker didn't, delving into the incredible and spine-chilling story of Dracula's descendants, based on the interviews with Dracula's wives undertaken by Jonathan Harker in Stoker's classic novel. Ronald Chetwynd-Hayes was a British author best know for his novels in the horror and ghost stories genres. He won the Bram Stoker Award for Life Time Achievement in 1988 and the British Fantasy Society Special Award in 1989.
