The Cotswold Olimpick Games is an annual public celebration of games and sports, now held near Chipping Norton each Spring. The games, first held in 1612, originated with a local lawyer, Robert Dover. The Annalia Dubrensia (Annals of Dover), is collection of poems praising Dover and his achievements in promoting and managing the games, first published in 1636.
