Text in Welsh. First edition, first impression. xii, 13-92pp. In blue cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on front page. Top edge trimmed, others untrimmed. 12mo. Cloth very slightly rounded at corners and spine ends, a little dulled. Free endpapers tanned, previous owner's name, dated 1943 on front paste down, else internally neat, clean and bright. Tightly bound. A slim volume of poetry in Welsh. Prichard, a leading poet in Welsh, won many awards including Bard of the National Eisteddford three years running. At best, his poetry is powerful and disturbing. Canu Cynnar was his first published volume of poetry. It was followed by two others - Tantalus and Lief Un Yn Llefain - which all appeared together in a later collected edition in 1979.
