322pp, colour illustrations. Bound in blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering and decorations on spine (boards are strong, clean, and square; slightly worn and rounded at corners and spine tips and faded along the top edges). Hint of toning on text block edges and endpapers only, else internally neat, clean and bright. Firmly bound. In its original illustrated dust jacket (a little bumped and chipped on edges, a couple of short closed tears around head of spine). Part of the 'Britain in Pictures' series with an introduction by W.B. Honey and chapters considering the likes of British Furniture Makers, English Glass, English Pottery and Porcelain, British Clocks and Clockmakers, English Popular and Traditional Art etc. The Britain in Pictures series is a fascinating insight into British social history of the second world war period.
