The first comprehensive guide to birds and bird watching the Algarve, covering 154 bird species known to breed in the Algarve. While a useful and attractive book, it's worth noting that it caused some controversy within the ornithological world upon publication because it included some species not otherwise recorded in Portugal, and largely ignored previous works on the topic.
