First UK edition.  viii, 68pp, with seven colour and and 24 monchrome plates, including frontispiece.  Red cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine. Signed and inscribed by Nadine Nicolaeva Legat, wife of Nicolas and herself a ballerina of the Imperial and State Theatres in Moscow and St Petersburg and founder of Legat School of Ballet in the UK.  8vo.  Boards a little rubbed and rounded at extreme corners and spine tips. Internally pages show a hint of creaminess and a few signs of handling but general neat, clean and tight.  In its original dust wrapper, illustrated, rubbed and browned at edges, chipped at corners and spine ends with minor loss at spine head, shelf worn, with a short closed tear from upper edge.  Dust wrapper now protected in an archival-quality Mylar wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
