vi, 364pp, with wood cut on title page and six further wood cut illustrations in text. Half bound in calf's leather over marbled boards, four panelled spine with gilt lettering and decorations, red leather title label (boards are worn and rubbed at edges, with minor leather loss, minor marks on spine). Text block edges were marbled, now quite faded. Some spotting to first few papers and rear endpapers, else internally neat and clean. Firmly bound. Declared as the last edition of The Pocket Magazine to be published by Knight and Lacey, who had struggled with its routine production; the next edition to be published on James Robins and Co. A collection of articles, short essays on topical issues, verses and sonnets and literary endeavours and commentary.
