In strong brown buckram covered boards, with bevelled edges, gilt and black decorations and gilt lettering front and spine. All edges gilt. A substantial volume. 4to. Boards a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine tips, a little sunned over spine. Hinges cracked and a handful of pages loosening else internally neat, clean and bright barring some light foxing on endpapers. With hundreds of engraved figures. Casing states W H Allen at spine base, but David Bogue clearly identified as publisher on title page.
