Boards are slightly bowed and a little discoloured around a sunned spine, rear board more heavily toned, else just gently worn at edges. Lacks ribbon ties. Foxing to endpapers and first and last few leaves, else just occasional spotting. Gift inscription, dated 1913, on flyleaf. A notice from the publishers, indicating how the original water-colour drawings may by purchased loosely laid in, causing a patch of tanning on front free endpaper. A travel book written and illustrated by the British water colour artist, Walter Tyndale; the water-colours depict various scenes of Italy from the early 20th century, including Siena, A Pot Market at Assisi, An Antiquity Shop in Venice, the Interior of St Mark's and a Fruit Stall at San Remo, accompanied by Tyndale's intimate prose descriptions.
