Undated but likely circa 1920. 64pp, with colour plate frontispiece and three further colour plates, all by Charles Pears, with further line drawings in text. In red cloth-covered boards, with tipped in colour illustration on front panel, gilt and black decorations, gilt titles on front, black titles on spine. 8vo. Boards worn and rubbed all round edges, with some light edge chipping, rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, one corner bumped. Gift inscription, dated 1924, on front paste down. Endpapers lightly tanned, pages browned to brittle. An unusual edition of this classic tale, with illustrations by Chas Pears.
