In a half-leather binding, likely a little later. viii, 1034pp, plus engraved frontispiece and one further engraved plate illustration. Extra title page with engraved vignette showing Immanuel rescuing Mansoul from the power of Satan, Sin and Death. Tan leather over cloth boards, all edges marbled. ( Boards worn, rubbed at corners and spine ends, a few marks.) Internally neat, clean, bright and tight, barring faint, occasional spotting. Marbled endpapers. Bunyan's 'Advertisement - his defence of his authorship of Pilgrim's Progress - on verso of introduction.
