A Sentimental Journey through France and Italy
124pp, with a new introduction by Edmund Blunden. Stiff card covers (a little soiled and faded). Internally neat and clean barring some gentle edge wear. Strong and robust. Approximately 7 inches tall. Sterne's 'A Sentimental Journey' was the second ever paperback published by Pan. The company had been founded in 1945, issuing three small hardbacks in its first two years. Its first paperback was a collection of supernatural tales, followed by Sterne's work. All of these preceded Pan's now famous numbered series of paperbacks, which commenced in 1947.
