Cloth is worn, rubbed at edges, a little scuffed, rounded on corners and spine ends. Small crack at base of front hinge, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. What was at one time a standard history text for school children, the preface says 'this book is written for all boys and girls who are interested in the story of Great Britain and her Empire', covering from the earlier period to the end of the 19th century.
