Ex-reference library, plate on front pastedown; lending sheet on rear free endpaper, occasional stamps on bottom corner of pages throughout (does not affect text). A very neat, clean, bright and tight volume. The years 1830-1836 were especially fruitful in the history of British periodical literature. Listed here are the unstamped periodicals that were circulating without payment of stamp duty or more commonly called ' taxes on knowledge' .
