A Countess From Canada: A Story of Life in the Backwoods
Volume not dated but likely c1930, judging from the Angela Brazil titles listed on the dust jacket. In silvery-grey cloth-covered boards with brown lettering and decoration on front and spine (boards are strong, sharp and clean, just very slightly rounded at spine ends, upper text block edge a little dust darkened, minor flecking on fore-edge). Internally, there's hint of toning on endpapers and first and last few leaves, else its neat, clean and tidy. In its original, illustrated dust wrapper (a little chipped and rubbed at edges, visible shelf wear on reverse, minor loss at spine tips, small and pretty gift label on front inner flap). Dust jacket now protected in a Mylar wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. A very nice copy of this Bessie Marchant classic, in gift and collectible condition.
