Undated but c. 1920. 1108pp. Printed on India paper. Bound in soft brown leather with gilt decorations and lettering, all edges gilt, black endpapers, black satin marker ribbon bound in. The leather covers are heavily rubbed and chipped at edges, and on spine joints, spine sunned and leather dry, leather coming away from endpapers. Some mild marks on endpapers, previous owner's inscription, dated 1951, on fly leaf, first few pages have hint of discolouration and one page has thin corner crease, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Small ticket on rear endpaper indicating the volume was once located in the Christian Science Reading Room of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, on Sloane Street in London (the building now known as Cadogan Hall). 8vo. Mary Baker Eddy was a American religious leader, founder of the Church of Christ, Scientist (commonly known as Christian Scientists). She wrote numerous books, the most notable of which was Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, which is the subject of the first of the two concordances of her writings in this volume.
