A Companion to Wainwright's Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells
132pp, illustrated with line drawings in text. In brown leatherette boards with gilt lettering on spine. 12mo. Last two leaves mildly warped, else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. In its original glossy dust jacket, faded over spine. It all began with Gladstone's Finger, and a family argument as to whether it was on Boswell or Crinkle Crags. Joan Newsome decided that in index to Wainwright's Pictorial Guides to the Lakelands was required to help locate such half-remembered items. And this is what she has produced here. This book therefore contains a reference to every topographical feature contained in the Pictorial Guides.
