A fine facsimile edition of the original 1885 publication. 144pp [4], with many line drawings and page decorations by Charles Robinson and including the original advertisements from the 1886 edition. Green cloth boards with extensive gilt decorations, gilt lettering on spine. All edges gilt. 12mo. In a green paper dust jacket, illustrated, with single, tiny indentation on lower edge. Jacket is now protected in a Brodart-style protective wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. Perhaps one of the most popular of Stevenson's works, A Child's Garden of Verses is widely regarded as one of the best recollections of childhood in verse. A lovely crisp and unmarked copy.
