Cloth is rubbed at edges and around spine joints, gently rounded at corners and spine ends, mildly worn. Front hinge partially cracked else internally neat, clean and bright. White's name appears stamped cross the title page but it is not clear whether this was part of the printing process or stamped later.
White (1855-1937) composed new music for many songs in the 1890s. This collection includes music to poems by a variety of authors including William Blake, Mrs Hemans and Gerald Massey.
