Cloth is heavily worn and somewhat faded, rubbed and rounded at corners and on spine ends and joints, marked, especially on verso, spine sunned. Upper text block edge toned, remaining edges spotted. Some bleeding around margins of endpapers. Previous owner's name, dated 1919, inked on front free endpaper. Frontispiece has circa 2cm detachment at base. Tissue guard a little toned. Some faint and occasional spotting on endpapers and first and last few true leaves.
