Contains all twelve journals issued in 1893, making up Volume IX (issue numbers 80 to 91). Handsomely bound in strong blue buckram cloth with gilt and black decorations and lettering, black tooled decorations, bevelled edges, glazed endpapers. All edges gilt. 8vo. Cloth gently rubbed and rounded at corners and rubbed around a slightly faded spine. A little, mild toning to first and last few pages, some scattered foxing else internally neat, clean and tight.
The Stamp News was a monthly journal for philatelists and stamp dealers; each issue - illustrated and decorated - contained a selection of news from the stamp world and feature articles, along with numerous contemporary advertisements etc. Articles in this volume include Stolen Stamps; The Stamps of New Zealand; and the Zurich Philatelic Exhibition etc, as well as news from collecting societies, discoveries etc.
