All 12 monthly issues of The Quiver Magazine issued in 1899 bound into a single volume with additional illustrations and index. 1148pp, with colour plate illustrations and hundreds of engraved illustrations in text. Half bound in black leather over brown pebbled cloth, gilt decorations and gilt titles on spine. Speckled edges and coloured endpapers. 4to. Leather is a little rubbed on edges, frayed at spine head, with the occasional small, mild mark. Previous owner's name neatly inked on the front paste down. A little spotting and toning on first and last few true leaves else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.
The Quiver was a weekly and then monthly magazine published between 1861 and 1956 and 'designed for the defence and promotion of biblical trust and the advance of religion in the homes of the people'. It contained a mix of stories, articles, reviews and activities designed to be of an uplifting nature.
