A history of West Green House in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire, and its gardens.  Built for General Henry Hawley in the early 18th century, it was the long time home of the Duchess of Wellington, passing into the hands of the National Trust in 1993, and currently leased to Marylyn Abbott, the former marketing manager for Sydney Opera House who has established a series of operatic performances at West Green House.
