Christopher Dresser (1834 – 1904) was a Scottish-born designer and design theorist, widely regarded as one of the most influential independent designers of the 19th century and the first industrial designer. He was a leader of the Aesthetic Movement and promotor of the allied Anglo-Japanese or British Art Nouveau style.
