Lillie (or Lily) Langtry, the Jersey Lily (1853-1929), was an English socialite, actress and stage producer, one of the most glamorous women of her era and subject to widespread media interest and public gossip, she was also rumoured to be the mistress of the Prince of Wales (the future Edward VII). She records her relationships with others too in this, her autobiography, but some have suggested that she was not always accurate in her recollections.
