Cloth is worn and marked, rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, a little sunned over spine with light shelf wear. Gift inscription, with lovely cartoon, inked on half title page. Pages a tad creamy with some minor signs of handling in places. A letter discussing one of the portraits used as an illustration has been neatly tipped in ahead of the illustrations. Loosely laid in is a signed manuscript letter from the author largely discussing the book.
