Cloth is worn and a little dull, rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, some marks, and strip of discolouration along the fore edge on rear panel. Text block edges toned and spotted. Gilded prize presentation plate, dated 1904, on the front paste down. Endpapers spotted and stained. Some spotting around page margins throughout and pages a little less than bright.
