70pp stapled brochure in laminated, illustrated light card covers, with many black and white illustrations and a central double spread coloured map.  4to.  The cheaply produced covers are a little worn at edges, with a previous owner's name inked at the top of the front panel.  Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.

A souvenir brochure/booklet produced to mark the 800th anniversary of Shrewsbury, the Salopian county town, receiving its charter from Richard I in 1189.  With various articles on the history of the town including Shrewsbury from 1600; A Kingfisher on Wyle Cop; Shrewsbury Castle and the Regiments; A Rare Benedictine, etc.  Includes many photographs of Shrewsbury in times gone by and contemporary adverts.
