Cloth is ownr, a little rubbed and markedly rounded on corners and spine ends, marked and faded, sunned on spine where the title lettering is dull. Previous retailer's label on upper panel. Upper text block edge a little dust dulled. Previous owner's name and pencilled annotation on front paste down else internally neat, clean and tight. Slightly skewed. A good and solid reading/reference copy.
Hendrik Wagenvoort was a Dutch scholar, Professor of Latin at the university of Groningen and Utretch (during the Nazi occupation of Holland), and wrote widely on subjects relating to the Latin language and religion in ancient Rome. This work was first published in the original Dutch during the second world war.
