Cloth a little tired, slightly rubbed around the ends of a sunned spine. Text block edges a little spotted. Previous owner's name boldly but neatly inked opposite the half title, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.
A substantial volume: a largely photographic record of the cultures - customs, national dress, occupations and ethnicity - of various countries around the world, arranged on a continent by continent basis. Some descriptions ink the book contain now outdated views, interesting in particular for the reflection that provides of views which were pervasive at the time at it was written.
