A common reprint of Carlyle's classic work on heroes and hero worship in a rather fine, attractive prize binding by the Relfe Brothers, likely dating from the late 1890s. St Andrew's College, Bradfield was founded by Thomas Stevens in the 1840s as a college for a small number of boys from modest backgrounds - it is now a co-educational public school and part of the Rugby Group (along with Rugby, Harrow, Shrewsbury, Wellington and Charterhouse).
