Undated but likely 1927. 880pp, with portrait plate frontispiece and further black and white plate illustrations interleaved in text, one fold-out coloured map at rear. Red publisher's cloth-covered boards, gilt-stamped lettering on the spine. Cloth and boards worn, rubbed at edges, marked and stained on verso in particular. Text block edges a little toned. Hinges crack and volume a little loose. Internally signs of fingering and use, with marks on some pages, library label on rear paste down, small area of mild stain in top corner of first few leaves.
Not a pretty copy but good for reference/reading and otherwise hard to find in its original editions.
