Undated but circa 1940.  Complete in six volumes.  xii, 294; xii, 256pp; xii, 228pp; xii, 264pp; xii, 316pp; xii, 328pp, with numerous line drawings in text, a few photographic illustrations and there's the occasional fold-out chart.  Volumes uniformly bound in red cloth with gilt lettering front and spine.  Top edges sprayed red. 12mos.  Covers a little worn, gentle rubbing on corners and spine ends, sunned and ridged on spines, a few marks.  Gilt titles dull.  Previous owner's name on the front free endpaper of each volume.  Endpapers spotted.  Volume Four is a little skewed and has white marks scattered over covers; it has also sustained some water damage at the base of spine, causing a small area of scarring with tears at the base of the first eight leaves.

A lovely vintage set on old-style woodwork and joinery (pre-power tools).
