First edition, first printing.  xxii, [2], 648, [4]pp, with occasional charts and tables in text and one folding chart.  Oatmeal cloth-covered boards with black lettering front and spine. Thick 8vo.  Cloth is a little worn, rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, a few minor marks and indentations.  An ex lending libary copy with call label on spine, library name gilded on upper panel, stamps and barcode on front free endpapers, two small stamps on the copyright page and blank label on the rear paste down.  Text block edges a little toned.  The volume is well-thumbed with some page corners lightly bumped or with a short, flat corner crease.
