First edition, first impression. 320pp, copiously illustrated, some in colour. Maroon cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine. Large 4to. Some fading and speckled marking from old, inert water exposure to at top and base of front panel and base of rear panel, cloth gently rounded at spine ends. Stain on lower text block edge. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original glossy dust wrapper, bumped at edges, some toning visible on the interior, scuffed at ends of a lightly sunned spine, a little misfitted now, price clipped, with additional price label on inner flap (consistent with removal of pre-decimal pricing and addition of decimal price).
