A collection of the thoughts and reflections of the English physician, philosopher and polymath Sir Thomas Browne (1605-1682).  Browne died on his birthday in 1682 and was buried in chancel of St Peter Mancroft in Norwich.  His coffin was accidently disturbed by workmen in 1840 and his skull removed.  It was not re-interred until 1922, when his age was recorded in the parish register as 317 years!
